Beyond animal welfare — we are building a self-sustaining ecosystem rooted in organic living, rural empowerment, and environmental harmony.
Swavlambi Entrepreneur's Global Association (SEGA) is a registered, forward-thinking non-profit organisation dedicated to sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment across Himachal Pradesh.
Founded in 2017, SEGA was born from a simple but powerful belief: the protection of cattle, the health of our soil, and the prosperity of rural communities are not separate goals. They are one.
Our work brings together the ancient wisdom of Gauvansh (cattle) care and the innovations of modern sustainable technology to address stray cattle welfare, chemical farming, rural unemployment, environmental degradation, and water scarcity.
"We are not just a Gaushala. We are a movement."
We integrate traditional practices with modern technology to build a greener, self-sustaining future.
Improve the overall health and well-being of Gauvansh through comprehensive medical care, proper shelter, and efficient water management.
Utilize cow dung to produce eco-friendly products like bio plant pots and cow dung bricks, reducing waste and supporting sustainable practices.
Create employment opportunities for local communities by involving them in fodder production, silage management, and biodegradable manufacturing.
Partner with government and private agencies to plant more trees using bio plant pots, contributing to reforestation and urban green spaces.
Encourage organic farming by using cow dung as a natural fertiliser, reducing chemical dependency and enhancing soil health.
Promote construction of eco-friendly homes using Gaucrete (cow dung bricks) which are inexpensive and naturally reduce temperatures by 10-15°C.
SEGA is fully compliant, audited, and registered with the Government of India and Himachal Pradesh.

SEGA took over the Handa Kundi Cattle Sanctuary in Nalagarh, Baddi, on October 10, 2024. It is Himachal Pradesh's only exclusive bull sanctuary. Since taking over, we have reinforced the sheds with canvas tarpaulin and steel supports (funded by BBNDA), expanded the herd to approximately 500 Nandi bulls, and put 20 bighas under cultivation for Super Napier grass.
Established on January 1, 2025, Neripul Gau Sadan is a dedicated rehabilitation center sheltering approximately 100 cows (expanding to 150). The facility ensures proper medical care, nutrition, and shelter, with a focus on intensive veterinary care for sick, old, or injured animals.
SEGA is officially recognized and partnered with the Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Development Authority (BBNDA) for stray cattle management, gaushala operations, and sustainable infrastructure development.
